Hey there, strangers! It is a bit sad to think the last time I posted a blog was to announce that we had launched Mosaic! Now we are eight weeks in, we are growing, God is moving in the lives of people, and we are beginning to find our rhythm. Perhaps more accurately, I am beginning to find my own rhythm as a Christ follower/husband/dad/pastor, in that order. It has been a process, one that I sometimes feel we are trying to figure out at 75mph, but what a ride God has us on!
Part of this has involved reassessing the things I give my time to. I very seriously considered putting an end to this blog. (I have been a horribly inconsistent blogger.) However, I keep running into people who are interested in what we are doing and learning along the way – friends, pastors, potential church planters, people interested in Mosaic, and others who are a part of our community and are hungry for more. Add to that the fact that writing is something that both brings me life and helps me process through what I am learning, and it became clear to me that this is something I need to not only continue, but something I need to discipline myself to devote more time to.
So that being said, I am going to be re-launching this site with a new design (hopefully in the next week) and a new approach to go with it. Rather than posting longer articles every now and then, I am going to instead trim back the length, turn off the ‘edit’ button, and post shorter articles on a much more consistent basis. These will continue to be around things like faith, ministry, culture, church planting and leadership. For those who have been tuning in over the past few years, thank you!
